Responsibilities
- Assist with road maintenance, paving, and pothole repair projects.
- Perform snow removal, ice control, and salting operations during winter months.
- Load, unload, and transport construction materials, tools, and equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site in compliance with OSHA and safety regulations.
- Operate light machinery and hand tools (e.g., jackhammers, rollers) under supervision.
- Respond to emergency municipal service requests and assist with general cleanup.
- Report safety hazards and maintenance issues to the site supervisor immediately.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
- Valid Michigan Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physically fit and capable of performing heavy manual labor in all weather conditions.
- Basic math skills and the ability to read simple instructions.
- Experience with construction or public works is a plus but not required.
