Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including sweeping, pothole patching, and trash removal along city streets.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and hand tools such as dump trucks, rollers, and jackhammers.
- Assist with traffic control, flagging, and maintaining safe work zones for construction projects.
- Clear snow and ice from sidewalks and roadways during winter weather events.
- Load and unload construction materials, tools, and equipment at job sites.
- Inspect public infrastructure for damage and report findings to supervisors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform strenuous labor in various weather conditions.
- Ability to operate basic power tools and construction equipment.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Experience in public works, construction, or landscaping is a plus but not required.
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
