Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on city facilities, parks, and public infrastructure
- Operate specialized equipment including dump trucks, forklifts, and landscaping machinery
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during inclement weather
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Conduct regular inspections and document maintenance activities
- Participate in community beautification initiatives and special events
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) mandatory
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance or construction experience
- Certification in HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems preferred
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and municipal regulations
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Valid Texas driver's license with clean driving record
- Spanish bilingual proficiency highly desirable
