Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on city facilities, including buildings, playgrounds, and public restrooms
- Operate and maintain specialized equipment (e.g., mowers, sweepers, hand tools) safely and efficiently
- Conduct routine inspections of infrastructure to identify hazards and compliance issues
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on urban beautification and green space projects
- Adhere to OSHA standards and municipal safety protocols at all times
- Document maintenance activities using digital tracking systems
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during off-hours as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in maintenance preferred
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in municipal or commercial settings
- Valid Washington State Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 30-hour certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days
- Proficiency with power tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic plumbing/electrical systems
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
