Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of municipal infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
- Inspect work sites to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with other city departments to coordinate large-scale projects and community initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance schedules.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Oklahoma Driver's License required; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction, maintenance, or a related trade field.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to follow detailed technical instructions.
- Basic knowledge of OSHA safety standards and local government regulations.
