Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city facilities, parks, and roads
- Operate heavy machinery (snow plows, graders, trenchers)
- Respond to emergency service calls during severe weather
- Conduct safety inspections of public infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects
- Document work activities and maintain equipment logs
- Adhere to OSHA and municipal safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 2+ years heavy equipment operation experience
- Certification in CPR/First Aid preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Strong commitment to public service ethics
- Pass background check and drug screening
