Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (snow plows, graders, street sweepers) for road maintenance
- Perform park landscaping, playground repairs, and facility upkeep
- Respond to emergency storm damage repairs (trees, downed limbs)
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal assets (sidewalks, streetlights)
- Maintain accurate work logs and safety documentation
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on city projects
Qualifications
- Valid Indiana Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- 1+ years experience in municipal maintenance or landscaping
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent
