Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including street sweepers, asphalt cutters, and snow removal equipment
- Conduct infrastructure inspections and document maintenance activities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public works projects
- Enforce safety protocols and maintain compliance with municipal regulations
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during inclement weather
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent with 2+ years in public works or construction
- Valid Washington State Commercial Driver's License (Class B)
- Certification in municipal equipment operation preferred
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety training
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- Washington State Flagging Certification required
