Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair on city streets, sidewalks, and public facilities.
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery, including backhoes, dump trucks, and loaders.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and service calls promptly.
- Inspect infrastructure to identify safety hazards and necessary repairs.
- Assist in storm water management and flood control activities during inclement weather.
- Load and unload construction materials and equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site in compliance with safety regulations.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid California Class B Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Physical ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform manual labor in all weather conditions.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to follow safety protocols and operating instructions.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or legal resident eligible for employment.
