Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city facilities, parks, and infrastructure
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment including trucks, loaders, and hand tools
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and department protocols
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and weather-related incidents
- Document work activities using digital reporting systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on capital improvement projects
- Participate in community outreach and public education initiatives
Qualifications
- Valid California Class C Driver's License (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of municipal or commercial maintenance experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Proficiency with power tools, heavy machinery, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in various weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
