Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery and equipment safely (e.g., mowers, trimmers, hand tools)
- Respond to service requests and emergency maintenance calls within specified timeframes
- Conduct regular inspections of assigned areas to identify maintenance needs
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Assist with seasonal projects including snow removal and disaster recovery efforts
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in general maintenance or construction
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow written instructions
- Pass background check and drug screening
