Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on public parks, streets, and municipal buildings
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, tractors, sweepers) safely and efficiently
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Implement safety protocols for work zones and hazardous materials
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Document work activities and maintain accurate records
- Respond to emergency weather-related maintenance requests
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- 1+ years experience in groundskeeping or equipment operation
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and landscaping
