Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city facilities, parks, and transportation infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, graders, and landscaping equipment
- Respond to emergency repairs during storms and public safety events
- Conduct inspections and prepare detailed maintenance reports
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on municipal projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or construction maintenance
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in South Florida climate conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic proficiency in maintenance software and digital reporting tools
