Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city parks, playgrounds, and recreational facilities
- Operate and maintain landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and irrigation systems
- Conduct inspections and repairs on public infrastructure (benches, fences, pathways)
- Assist with seasonal preparations including snow removal and storm response
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and community events
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment usage
- Adhere to all safety protocols and city regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years of landscaping or facility maintenance experience
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy equipment safely
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of horticulture and groundskeeping best practices
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
