Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city buildings, parks, and public infrastructure
- Operate heavy equipment (mowers, tractors, snow removal) safely and efficiently
- Conduct inspections and repairs of roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Manage landscaping and green spaces to enhance community aesthetics
- Adhere to OSHA standards and municipal safety protocols
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during weather events
- Maintain accurate logs of work performed and materials used
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Minimum 2 years experience in municipal maintenance or related field
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to operate power tools and heavy machinery
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor in varied weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, or carpentry
