Responsibilities
- Maintain public parks, recreational facilities, and green spaces
- Operate heavy equipment (mowers, tractors, dump trucks) safely
- Perform routine inspections of city infrastructure
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety protocols
- Assist in disaster recovery and storm preparedness
- Document maintenance activities in digital systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Florida Driver's License (Class B or higher)
- Minimum 2 years landscaping/construction experience
- Certification in heavy equipment operation preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather
- Basic knowledge of irrigation systems
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
