Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds, athletic fields, and recreational facilities
- Organize and supervise community events and youth programs
- Operate maintenance equipment (mowers, trimmers, irrigation systems)
- Enforce safety protocols during facility usage
- Assist in seasonal facility preparation and winterization
- Respond to resident inquiries and facility requests
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1+ years in park maintenance or recreation field preferred
- Valid NJ driver's license with clean record
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of groundskeeping tools and equipment
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
