Responsibilities
- Maintain park grounds including turf management, landscaping, and irrigation systems
- Operate and maintain recreational facilities (playgrounds, sports courts, trails)
- Support special events setup, execution, and breakdown
- Perform routine safety inspections and report maintenance needs
- Assist with facility cleaning, equipment inventory, and minor repairs
- Engage positively with park visitors and provide information
- Collaborate with team members on seasonal projects and initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid North Carolina driver's license
- Experience in grounds maintenance or facility operations preferred
- Ability to perform physical tasks (lifting, bending, extended outdoor work)
- Basic knowledge of park safety protocols and equipment operation
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (training provided if needed)
