Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city buildings, parks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Conduct inspections and repairs on streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Manage waste collection and recycling operations across assigned zones
- Respond to emergency maintenance calls during severe weather events
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean record
- Certification in heavy equipment operation or willingness to obtain
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance or construction experience
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Pass background check and drug screening
