Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery (e.g., dump trucks, asphalt spreaders, jackhammers) safely and efficiently
- Respond to emergency service calls for infrastructure damage and weather-related incidents
- Conduct regular inspections of public facilities and report maintenance needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement projects
- Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and city maintenance standards
- Complete accurate documentation of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in construction or maintenance trades
- Valid Arizona Commercial Driver's License (Class B) with clean driving record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Proficiency in basic hand tools and power equipment operation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Must pass background check and drug screening
