Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, tractors, graders) for park and road maintenance
- Perform daily inspections of municipal facilities and report safety hazards
- Execute seasonal landscaping projects including irrigation systems and tree care
- Assist in emergency storm response and debris cleanup operations
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and work completion
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Florida Driver's License (Class B preferred)
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in extreme weather conditions
- OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Pass pre-employment physical and background check
- Experience with hand/power tools or landscaping equipment preferred
