Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain heavy machinery including mowers, tractors, and snow removal equipment
- Perform routine inspections and repairs on park facilities, playgrounds, and public structures
- Execute landscape maintenance including pruning, irrigation, and vegetation management
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and municipal regulations
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests during weather events
- Document work activities using digital reporting systems and maintenance logs
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in municipal maintenance or facility operations
- Valid Washington State Driver's Class B license (CDL preferred)
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification required
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions
- Basic proficiency with hand/power tools and diagnostic equipment
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
