Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city streets, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including sweepers, dump trucks, and landscaping equipment
- Support park maintenance activities including mowing, irrigation, and facility upkeep
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events (floods, hurricanes)
- Conduct safety inspections and report infrastructure hazards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and emergencies
