Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor including street repairs, park maintenance, and snow removal
- Operate light machinery (sweepers, mowers, hand tools) following safety protocols
- Assist in emergency response during severe weather events
- Conduct daily inspections of public facilities and report hazards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects
- Maintain accurate work logs and equipment inventory
- Support community events setup and breakdown activities
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Massachusetts Driver's License (Class D)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Commitment to workplace safety standards (OSHA certification a plus)
- Basic knowledge of construction/landscaping tools preferred
- Ability to pass background check and physical fitness assessment
- Residency in Boston required within 6 months of hire
