Responsibilities
- Perform street maintenance including pothole repairs, sign installation, and traffic control zone setup
- Operate light machinery and hand tools for park maintenance, landscaping, and facility upkeep
- Assist in waste management operations including litter collection and recycling support
- Respond to weather emergencies including snow removal and storm debris cleanup
- Conduct routine inspections of public infrastructure and report maintenance needs
- Support special events setup and community beautification initiatives
- Maintain accurate work logs and safety documentation
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in varied weather conditions
- Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to operate city equipment
- Commitment to workplace safety protocols and procedures
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and in teams
- Pass background check and drug screening
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred (training available)
