Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repair of city streets, sidewalks, and public infrastructure.
- Operate and maintain heavy equipment including dump trucks, graders, rollers, and snowplows.
- Assist with snow and ice removal operations during winter weather events.
- Collect and dispose of litter, refuse, and debris along municipal rights-of-way.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of work sites, strictly adhering to OSHA and City safety protocols.
- Perform minor landscaping, tree trimming, and park maintenance duties as assigned.
- Interact with the public and other city departments professionally.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred but not required for entry-level applicants.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
- Strong commitment to public service, safety, and quality workmanship.
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to operate power tools is a plus.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime, nights, and weekends when necessary.
