Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair city infrastructure including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently (e.g., dump trucks, loaders)
- Perform seasonal street cleaning and snow/ice removal operations
- Support park maintenance and public space beautification projects
- Conduct routine inspections and document maintenance activities
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and environmental standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Valid Minnesota Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works or heavy equipment operation
- OSHA 10-hour construction safety certification
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and flexible schedules
- Basic knowledge of municipal maintenance practices
