Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repair of municipal infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems.
- Operate heavy machinery and power tools safely and efficiently in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and weather-related incidents, such as snow and ice removal.
- Inspect public facilities and grounds to ensure compliance with safety regulations and city codes.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment maintenance schedules.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Previous experience in public works, landscaping, or general maintenance is preferred.
- Physical ability to perform heavy labor, including lifting, bending, and operating heavy equipment.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and occasional overtime.
