Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain municipal equipment including trucks, mowers, and snow removal tools
- Perform routine inspections and repairs of public facilities and roadways
- Respond to emergency service calls during weather events and critical situations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and city regulations
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on infrastructure projects
- Document work activities and maintain accurate service records
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Valid Ohio driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years' experience in public works or construction
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and hand tools safely
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems
