Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain municipal vehicles, equipment, and machinery (snow plows, graders, etc.)
- Perform infrastructure inspections and repairs on roads, bridges, and drainage systems
- Respond to public works emergencies during all weather conditions
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Document work activities and maintain accurate maintenance records
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Support community events through setup and logistics coordination
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred
- Valid Wisconsin Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works, construction, or related field
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
