Responsibilities
- Perform daily sanitation collection, recycling, and bulk item pickup in designated city zones.
- Operate heavy municipal equipment, including trucks, compactors, and backhoes, following strict safety protocols.
- Perform routine street maintenance tasks such as pothole repair, pavement marking, and snow removal during winter months.
- Inspect public right-of-ways for debris, hazardous conditions, and infrastructure damage.
- Maintain cleanliness of municipal vehicles and work areas.
- Adhere to all local, state, and federal safety regulations and traffic laws.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- Valid Pennsylvania Class C Driverβs License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly and stand for extended periods outdoors.
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools, or willingness to be trained.
- Willingness to work rotating shifts, including early mornings and weekends.
- Commitment to public service and community safety.
