Responsibilities
- Coordinate public works projects including road maintenance, park upkeep, and facility inspections
- Respond to citizen inquiries and service requests via phone, email, and in-person channels
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to implement municipal initiatives
- Conduct field assessments for infrastructure improvements and compliance checks
- Prepare detailed reports on service delivery metrics and community feedback
- Assist in emergency response coordination during severe weather events
- Support community outreach programs and public education campaigns
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred
- 2+ years experience in municipal services, public administration, or related field
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Strong proficiency in GIS mapping software and municipal databases
- Excellent communication skills with ability to interact with diverse populations
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physical environments
- Knowledge of Austin municipal codes and regulatory requirements
- Basic first aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
