Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of city facilities, parks, and public spaces
- Operate and maintain light machinery (e.g., mowers, trimmers, sweepers)
- Respond to emergency service requests during weather events
- Assist with waste management and recycling programs
- Conduct safety inspections and report hazards promptly
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on community projects
- Ensure compliance with municipal regulations and OSHA standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in varied conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends/evenings
- Previous public works or construction experience preferred
- Must pass background check and pre-employment physical
