Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of public parks, trails, and recreational facilities
- Operate heavy equipment for snow removal, landscaping, and infrastructure repairs
- Assist with public event setup, cleanup, and crowd management
- Conduct safety inspections and report hazardous conditions
- Support waste management and recycling initiatives throughout the city
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for infrastructure projects
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Colorado driver's license with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Experience operating heavy machinery (e.g., dump trucks, loaders)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of public safety protocols and procedures
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow detailed instructions
