Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain city vehicles, machinery, and equipment safely
- Perform routine maintenance on public infrastructure (roads, parks, buildings)
- Assist in emergency response and disaster recovery operations
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members on daily project assignments
- Document work activities and equipment usage accurately
- Provide excellent customer service to community members
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Experience with hand/power tools and heavy equipment preferred
- Basic knowledge of construction/maintenance practices
- Strong work ethic and punctuality essential
- Ability to work in various weather conditions
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
