Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including roads, parks, and public facilities
- Operate light machinery and equipment safely (e.g., trucks, mowers, trimmers)
- Respond to emergency service calls during weather events or public safety incidents
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute municipal projects on schedule
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist in public-facing community events and outreach programs
- Document work activities and maintain accurate equipment logs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certification preferred
- Valid Texas Class C Driver's License with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years experience in public works, landscaping, or maintenance
- Ability to operate power tools and light machinery safely
- Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of municipal regulations and safety standards
