Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city infrastructure including sidewalks, street signs, and public facilities
- Operate municipal equipment (e.g., trucks, mowers, hand tools) safely and efficiently
- Assist with emergency response operations during weather events or public safety incidents
- Support community events and public space beautification initiatives
- Document work activities and submit daily progress reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project deadlines are met
- Adhere to all safety protocols and OSHA regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Texas Class C driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment maintenance
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Preferred: 1+ years of municipal or construction experience
