Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on city buildings, parks, and water treatment facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including mowers, tractors, and trenching equipment
- Conduct safety inspections and implement OSHA compliance protocols
- Respond to emergency repairs during storms or public service disruptions
- Collaborate with engineering teams on infrastructure improvement projects
- Manage inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment
- Document work activities using digital reporting systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification preferred
- 2+ years experience in facility maintenance or public works
- Valid Florida Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Certification in water treatment or wastewater management a plus
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in extreme weather conditions
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools and heavy machinery
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
