Responsibilities
- Maintain public parks, sidewalks, and municipal facilities
- Operate heavy machinery (mowers, snowplows, sweepers) safely
- Perform minor construction and repair work
- Assist with emergency weather response operations
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams on city projects
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and city safety protocols
- Document work activities and equipment maintenance
Qualifications
- Valid Minnesota driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in landscaping, construction, or public works preferred
- Certification in heavy equipment operation a plus
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
