Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate light equipment and hand tools for landscaping and construction projects
- Respond to emergency public works requests during inclement weather
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist with park beautification and recreational facility upkeep
- Document work activities and maintain accurate equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on municipal improvement projects
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Oregon driver's license with clean record
- Minimum 1 year experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor in all weather conditions
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and light equipment operation
- Strong commitment to public service and community values
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
