Responsibilities
- Perform daily street cleaning, litter removal, and waste management operations
- Assist with park maintenance, landscaping, and green space upkeep
- Support snow removal and winter weather emergency response
- Operate light machinery and equipment safely (e.g., sweepers, leaf blowers)
- Report infrastructure issues and hazards to supervisors
- Adhere to all OSHA safety protocols and municipal regulations
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for city-wide initiatives
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- Valid Michigan driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physical labor in all weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong work ethic and punctuality with reliable transportation
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- Previous municipal or public works experience preferred
