Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city facilities, parks, and public grounds
- Operate light equipment including mowers, trimmers, and hand tools
- Assist in infrastructure repair projects including sidewalks, signage, and drainage systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Respond to citizen service requests within established timeframes
- Document work activities and maintain accurate equipment logs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams during emergency response situations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Arizona Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of landscaping or construction maintenance preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures (up to 115°F)
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check
- Experience with hand/power tools or heavy machinery preferred
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
