Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs of city facilities, parks, and infrastructure
- Operate heavy machinery and specialized equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist in emergency response and disaster recovery efforts
- Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support community projects
- Document work activities and maintain accurate records
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and stakeholders
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Driver's License with clean record
- OSHA 10-hour certification preferred
- Experience with hand/power tools and heavy equipment operation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Basic knowledge of construction/maintenance practices
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
