Responsibilities
- Maintain public spaces including parks, sidewalks, and municipal facilities
- Assist with street cleaning, waste management, and recycling operations
- Support event setup and breakdown for community gatherings
- Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance on city property
- Operate light machinery and equipment safely (training provided)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on public improvement projects
- Document work activities and maintain safety compliance
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver's License with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training a plus
- Experience with landscaping, construction, or public works preferred
- OSHA 10 certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days
- Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual Spanish a plus
- Pass background check and drug screening
