Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance of city parks, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate light equipment (mowers, trimmers, trucks) safely and efficiently
- Assist in stormwater management and drainage system upkeep
- Respond to public service requests and resolve minor infrastructure issues
- Adhere to all OSHA and municipal safety protocols
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments on community projects
- Complete daily work logs and maintenance reports accurately
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Kansas driver's license with clean record
- 1+ years of maintenance or construction experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Basic knowledge of hand/power tools and equipment operation
- Strong commitment to public safety and community service
- Ability to work in all weather conditions with flexible hours
- Pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
