Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city facilities, parks, and public spaces
- Operate light equipment and hand tools for landscaping, waste management, and street cleaning
- Assist with event setup and breakdown for community festivals and public gatherings
- Respond to urgent municipal service requests within specified timeframes
- Follow all safety protocols and OSHA guidelines during field operations
- Document work activities and submit daily progress reports
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated public service delivery
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and perform physically demanding tasks in outdoor conditions
- Basic knowledge of landscaping, maintenance, or construction practices preferred
- Strong communication skills for interacting with residents and team members
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Experience with power tools or municipal equipment is a plus
