Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on city sidewalks, roads, and drainage systems
- Operate heavy machinery including excavators, loaders, and street sweepers
- Assist in construction and renovation projects including parks and public facilities
- Respond to weather emergencies including snow removal and storm cleanup
- Conduct safety inspections and maintain accurate work documentation
- Collaborate with engineering and planning teams on infrastructure improvements
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Minnesota Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- Certification in equipment operation (e.g., OSHA 10-hour construction)
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic knowledge of municipal infrastructure systems preferred
