Responsibilities
- Operate heavy machinery (backhoes, graders, dump trucks) for infrastructure projects
- Perform road maintenance, landscaping, and park facility upkeep
- Ensure compliance with OSHA safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Respond to emergency weather events (monsoon flooding, heat-related issues)
- Collaborate with engineering teams on public works planning
- Conduct routine inspections of municipal facilities and equipment
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required
- Valid Arizona Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- 2+ years experience in construction, landscaping, or public works
- OSHA 10-hour construction certification preferred
- Ability to work in extreme heat conditions (up to 115°F)
- Pass pre-employment physical and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy for reporting systems
