Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on city roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems
- Operate light/heavy equipment including trucks, loaders, and excavators
- Respond to emergency infrastructure repairs and stormwater management
- Implement safety protocols and OSHA compliance standards
- Assist with public works projects and community improvement initiatives
- Document work activities and submit progress reports
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient project delivery
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid California Class C driver's license (Class B preferred)
- Minimum 1 year public works/construction experience
- Certification in equipment operation or heavy machinery
- Ability to work in all weather conditions and physically demanding environments
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
