Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on streets, sidewalks, and public facilities
- Operate heavy machinery including trucks, loaders, and mowing equipment
- Respond to emergency storm and weather-related public works requests
- Assist with construction projects and infrastructure repairs
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and safety checks
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams for coordinated operations
- Follow all municipal safety protocols and environmental regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Oklahoma driver's license with clean record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor in all weather conditions
- Basic mechanical knowledge and equipment maintenance skills
- Previous municipal or public works experience preferred
- OSHA 10-hour certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights and weekends during emergencies
